Research
Advanced NMR Methods for Complex Mixture Analysis Driven by Industrial Challenges

Biography
I completed my undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of York, achieving a First Class MChem degree with a year in industry at AstraZeneca. My final year project was undertaken while working with AstraZeneca and focused on conformational analysis using NMR spectroscopy. This project focused on extracting quantitative NOE data of pharmaceuticals and determining interproton distances in order to model conformation within solution. While at AstraZeneca, I also worked as part of the structural chemistry team where I frequently used NMR for structural elucidation of chemical compounds within early oncology research.

In 2020, I moved to Manchester to start my PhD in complex mixture analysis with links to industrial challenges faced by Johnson Matthey. This project is under the supervision of Dr. Laura Castañar Acedo, Dr. Ralph Adams, Dr. Daniel Berry (Johnson Matthey) and Dr. Jonathan Bradley (Johnson Matthey).
